Participate in a Study

Pink and red wild flowers.

First, thank you! We could not do our work without the generosity of couples and parents who are willing to contribute to this research by sharing their experiences and providing their valuable time, and expertise. We seek to gain a diversity of perspectives on the stressors that occur during family life, and we are indebted to the hundreds of people who have provided their unique insights.

If you think you may be interested in participating in one of our upcoming or future studies and want to stay-up-to-date on newly recruiting studies, please provide your contact information via this form!

CIRCLES Study

We appreciate our participants’ willingness to contribute to our research by being part of the CIRCLES Study. We are excited to have reached our goal of having 450 individuals participating in the study. Even though we are no longer enrolling new couples for the CIRCLES Study, we encourage you to keep visiting this website or our Facebook page for study updates, future research opportunites, to make use of the resources we provide, and to learn about the findings of this study.

Participating in a study in our lab can provide you with an opportunity to consider how current stressors and past stressful experiences impact you and your family relationships. You can also observe psychological science in action, help train Penn State students and future scientists, and contribute to a body of knowledge that is designed to help others strengthen their relationships and build a better future for their children. If you think you might want to participate in a research study in the Relationships and Stress Research Lab, please contact Dr. Marshall at: raslab@vt.edu.
